With so many celebrities or artists claiming to take detox tea, you must be tempted to try the tea as a method for dieting. That said, detox tea like this can be slimming by ‘cleaning’ toxins from your body. But, is best detox tea safe to consume?

If you take tea detox, there is a possibility that your weight is reduced due to the amount of water consumed, then the water in the body is ‘discarded’. In addition, our own body has a detoxification system or toxin removal, so it does not need a special tea to remove toxins from the body.

Therefore, is it safe to consume detox tea? Some detox tea compositions can give side effects to the body, such as senna leaves which can cause constipation. If you take detox tea without a doctor’s recommendation, you can become dehydrated and lose some of the body’s minerals, especially if you drink less water.

Detox tea should not be consumed by children under the age of 18 and the elderly. For those of you who have special health conditions, you should consult your doctor if you want to take detox tea. There are still many natural methods to reduce weight, how come, like exercising regularly and maintaining your diet.
